"What would you like to have for your bread?"
"Jam, any fruit jam~"
"No jam, you think that's cheap? We only have Planta."
"Jam, any fruit jam~"
"No jam, you think that's cheap? We only have Planta."
The unimportant dialogue came to my mind when I had my Roti Planta 1 hour ago. I was 4, I remember.
Think of it again, there was a time, Planta was like a sure have item in everyone's home. At least that was what I thought.. Every relative's houses, friends' house, inside the fridge or some corner of the kitchen, there must be a can of Planta. That was what I thought.
Somehow, my house had never own even a small can of Planta before. As a kid, I was curious, and was told by parents, that's a quite expensive brand of butter.
Eventually, I had an idea that Planta is a brand of butter that everyone can afford, but not me. I mean, us, my family. How naive I could be that I tasted fruit jam, given by neighbor, as a kid, I hated it. And I had a conclusion, which was, fruit jam was cheaper than Planta.
And the truth revealed to me, when one day, I went to a far relative's house to play with the kids. A short dialogue of 4 years old me, and the wife of the far relative.

hahaha... wtf... swt...
but u know what? i had the same thought as u did, as a kid, i only had fruit jams, never had planta bc i thought it was more expensive... but i was so wrong... i only came to realise this only last 3 years :P glad that i recommended roti planta just now :D
Hey, the roti planta was good. Crispy enough=)
My house hardly have fruit jam.
Until now, I still find it hard to spread fruit jam on my bread.
My mum still goes for the same old cheaper brand of butter which she always said it's healthier and cheaper.
